I remember watching this trailer for the first time on one the DVD of one of my Harry Potter movies. I thought it was an interesting plot. But right when it said “The last man on earth… is not alone” and Will Smith turns around hearing that noise in the dark, that was what really got me hooked on. I had to know what was going on. I knew I had to check this out.

Wow, loved the alternate ending where Will Smith (Dr. Neville) survives and leaves the city with the two other survivors. I just wish in the alternate ending, Sam, the female German Shepherd and Dr. Neville's loyal friend and sidekick had survived as well. That part of the movie was the most heart-wrenching, having Sam die off. Thankfully it was just a movie.

This is such a beautiful yet depressing movie, throughout the movie you see Neville trying to cope with loneliness as he's the last human alive.

Para mi forma de pensar, el final está bien planteado, tal cual esta..se asemeja más a la realidad! Los finales en dónde siempre sobrevive el bueno, se deja ver muy fantasioso
Además si el director, quisiera hacer una segunda entrega siempre queda el niño, para hacerla o si quisiera seguir haciendo una segunda entrega con el mítico Will Smith. Siempre podrá inventarse que sobrevivió en el último minuto.. lanza la granada..y salva a la chica..total los otros ya no tenian esperanza de vida, estában consumidos por el salvajismo ya no les quedaba humanidad! A ninguno de ellos..en fin ellos sabrán bien que hacer.. un saludo!

Someone should make a 4th adaptation of the book I Am Legend by Richard Matheson and actually stick to the book. Keep the bleak ending! Such a great book!

I am legend is great novel even better movie say what will about the ending but what a heroic way to stop those monsters and save humanity. I should point out about alternate ending too, I also would have like that ending too, it was in the spirit of the novel, but I Respect the writer and director for choosing the route they wanted.
