I recommend the Parallel loop. I turn the mix knob max wet. Couldnt be happier with this amp. It does all the classic Plexi, JCM800 tones, and full blown Children Of Bodom Metal tones.

Some doubts: 1) what's the difference between serial and parallel? 2) It isn't clear to me yet how to use the serial loop with pre amp and power amp.

What's the difference between series and parallel, if you were using delay/reverb as the effect? Thanks!

Caveat: The mix knob needs to be set at 100% wet, the pedal mix level can be set where you like it, or your fx will be out of phase, and, you will sacrifice volume and tone for using the loop on this amp. I ended up putting all my pedals in front, found a Delay that wasnt too muddy (up front) and amp sounds like a Marshall should.

I got my brand new JVM205H and the first experience is that it is completely mute. I read on the manual only late night that if front switch of fx is on, and the knob dry/wet is torally on wet, the amp is mute. Don't remember the switch was on. Tomorrow morning will check again!!! dammit!!
Moreover, if there is no command for turning the fx from series to parallel, why it is called series/parallel???? it is simply only parallel?? how to turn it in the two different modes?

I use the the loop with chorus and eq for cleans. Then when I switch to distortion I don't have to stomp 500 pedals the jvm you can just turn off the loop

that explained nothing useful, , how do you actually connect your guitar and your pedasls, lets say 1 pedal, to this loop so that it works

The four chord method makes owning this amp pointless. You completely by-pass the preamp, which why you buy this amp.
