Even though "Epic" was the radio hit that everyone knows, I feel like "Zombie Eaters", "The Real thing" and "Midlife Crisis" are much better songs IMO. Mike Patten has an insane vocal range, and a very unique style.

"It." You know that thing that most people need to be famous, whether bands, vocalists, actors ... to be Epic, you need to have "it" ... it's undefinable, a vibe, a characteristic that puts you above the curve.

Angel dust is an amazing album. Avenged sevenfold are huge fans too. Mike Patton is a legend in the rock world. Kind of like how some comedians are famous amongst comedians. His talent is unquestionable.

"Midlife Crisis" and "Easy" which is a Lionel Richie cover are two of my favorite FNM songs. But, tons of their songs are great so it's hard to pick the best ones.

Uhh Ohh, the Mike Patton rabbit hole. Trust me, he sounds different on every album, and or band he's in. This is the only one with the nasally sound by FNM. What is it? It is whatever you are addicted to.

One of the most underrated bands ever. Their entire album, Angel Dust is filled with bangers. The singer, Mike Patton has other has many other eclectic bands that he fronts. Mr Bungle is one of them and is dope. Especially the album, California.

FNM cover all genres and Mike Patton is the best singer around hands down, he can sing anything - or just make monster noises! For a harder rock edge check Digging the Grave, Gentle art of making enemies, surprise you're dead... to name a few

I've loved this for 30 years and always thought it was a comment on society's equating things or money with happiness and chasing those to the detriment of all else. The chasing of "it" and what do you do if you catch "it" whatever it is.

Think of all the different sayings that use "It" as a descriptor, What is It? How many different things can "It" be. It's usually what ever is in your own mind that's being described, desired, needed, wanted etc... Lex is a metal head at heart! LoL

Remember at this time, there was a real natural push to experiment with crossing genres together. This song is literally the culmination of all that the late 80's offered, metal, hip-hop, and alternative. This was like a signal fire for what would come come soon after in the 90's...for better, or worse.
