In the 1960s we had exchange students in public school. I had a friend from Ethiopia. There was a 7 eleven at the end of the block and at the other end was a game preserve where you can hear lions 🦁

Been to Africa, Uganda, and traveled all around 10 hours this way, and that way… Walked-through jungles, came upon people who had never seen white people in their lives, and thought we were the white-devil… Helped people build new grass huts, cut out of palm, fronds and clay that we had to mix up by hand, going down to the nasty little stream for water and carrying it back up to make bricks that had to dry for a few days here and there…. Americans have no idea how much we are blessed unless you have been to a third world jungle
