This Element Has A Half-Life Longer Than Universe’s Age

Показать описание
The half-life of Tellurium-128 is 2.2 Septillion years which is around 160 trillion times the age of the Universe! It decays into Xenon-128 by double beta decay. Half-life is the amount of time it takes for one half of a radioactive isotope to decay.

You may wonder which naturally-occurring element has the shortest half-life. That would be Francium, the 87th element, whose longest-lived isotope, francium-223, has a half-life of just 22 minutes.

half-life of radioactive elements, half-life, radioactivity, half-life in chemistry, what is half life, how do elements decay, how radioactive elements are formed, elements in periodic table, periodic table trick, tellurium, what are isotopes, chemistry facts, isotopes of hydrogen, double beta decay, beta decay, alpha decay

Shoutout to the researcher who studied Tellurium since before the start of the universe

but Nihonium's half life is 20 sec.

I wrote a Python program to calculate and plot the graph of given isotopes.
Glad I didn't try Tellurium. How many zeroes in 2.2 septillion years?

Gordon Freeman in the flesh or in the hazard suit I took the liberty relieving you of your weapons, most of them were government

property as for the suit I think you've earned it.

The border world xen is in our control for the time being. Thanks to you, quite a nasty piece of work you

managed over there I am impressed.

(teleport)

That's why I'm here Mr. Freeman, I have recommended your services to my employers

and they have authorized me to offer you a job. They agree with me that you have limitless potential.

(teleport)

You've proved yourself a decisive man so I don't expect you'll have any trouble deciding what to do

if you're interested just step in the portal and I will take that as a yes. Otherwise will (gulp) i can offer

you a battle you have no chance of winning. Rather an anti-climax after what you've just survived.

Time to choose.

Wisely done Mr.Freeman I will see you up ahead.

Fr has a half life of just 22 minutes that's why it's the most expensive element in the Periodic table.

Naturally occurring. You can create atom with shorter half life. Also proton does not have a half life experimentally found yet.

Isn’t francium also the most reactive alkali metals. I don’t know if I spelt this correctly

Which element in the periodic table has a shorter half life than francium?
Astatine! Astatine-210 is synthetic but Astatine-219, the most stable isotope of astatine, has a half life of just 50 seconds!

MaleRadioOfficial

That is incorrect. Francium-223 does have a half life of 22 minutes. But the naturally occurring element with the shortest half life is Astatine-210.
