Me and my girlfriend was in attendance for this race. The first NASCAR race either of us had been to. Seeing it in person was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Planning on coming back again this fall!

That has to be the most badass thing I've ever seen a motorsports driver, let alone a NASCAR driver has ever done! He literally played the race like it was Burnout or Need for Speed! Respect my man!

This single moment probably brought hundreds of thousands to recognize NASCAR as a daring sport, love it.

Chastain will go down in the nascar history book for this awesome feat. It reminds me of something that Dale Sr. would have tried. Gutsy move that worked out. Hats off to Martinsville for having such a great wall for him to use.

One of the Biggest Balls moves I have ever seen in Nascar and I got my first exposure in the early 60s on Wide World of Sports. My first at track was this little short dirt track they call the Grove these days. My dad was wrenching a friends jalopy until my step - mom cut him off back before I started school in 58. A lot of history at these smaller tracks and Nobody's ever gonna forget Ross and this MOVE.

Ross is such a nice guy. He drives his race car through the state park at Watkins Glen New York every year and signs autographs.

I still can't believe I was there to see it live!

I was kinda hoping Ross was going to get the wall section. lol Maybe they can trim off another section for him to take home? ^^

First time in a long time that Nascar is relevant on National level Ross is a future Champion, He drives very similar to Dale Sr. Not scared to shake things up

Definitely left his mark on the world with that move. Me personally, I loved it and glad to see it all played out. Definitely be talked about forever.

You know you’re a legend when NASCAR has to introduce a rule due to your action lol

Frikin Awesome! Ross is a great guy and is very talented. He finally got on a good team with good cars, then blew everyone's mind by great finishes!

While I wasn't a fan of the move as I'm more of a racing purist, it was one of the all time craziest moves in motorsports history. We were all in shock watching it live, we didn't understand what happened at first. I think if you are a racing fan that saw it live at the track or at home, you'll never forget it.

Saw this in person for my first Martinsville race and still don't believe it.

Small correction- he didn't need to finish ahead of Denny Hamlin, he just needed to gain 2 positions. I believe he gained 4 with this move and did end up ahead of Hamlin.

Well it won't be replicated. New Wall, New rules. Thanks nascar.

Good reporting except Ross didn't have to finish ahead of Denny just a couple positions behind him

Just think if safer barriers were never installed it wouldn’t have worked.
