Lea Salonga joins #Ham4Ham to sing 'A Whole New World'

At tonight's #Ham4Ham, we welcomed Lea Salonga, star of Allegiance and the original voice of Jasmine in Disney's "Aladdin". She joined Lin Manuel Miranda and Alex Lacamoire for a special #Ham4Ham version of "A Whole New World"!

As someone from the Philippines who can understand the song Lin wrote for his girlfriend, I swear it's better than most songs we hear on our radio. As for the duet, well, I expected nothing less from my two favorite human beings in the world!

The amazing thing about Lea is you don't just see her singing on big stages or on Broadway or in Disney movies. You also see her singing in real life, in her home with her $30 dollar Apple earbuds, in a bar singing to her friends without even a microphone or just by the street with minimum equipment. How many singers can actually do that?
She is an OG Disney princess but she never takes herself seriously. She is funny and has a bubbly personality. A lot of Disney fans don't even know who Lea is, but if they find out, they will be a life long fan.
