😆 The branches are easier to trim after the tree has been felled. Not to mention that if a smaller tree, like the one in this video, accidentally hits the house or the shed, the branches cushion the impact, making it less likely to damage the structure or to do as much damage.

Mean while my husband came in and asked for his gloves and said the top of the pecan tree has rotted out inside from all the lightning strikes and a big storm cell is coming. I watched him go into our small yard with a pencil held up between him and the tree. After turning the pencil several times from different directions he figured out where he wanted it to go and then pulled out his axe and dropped the tree in about 15 minutes perfectly before coming in for a glass of tea.
