MP4 Video in Adobe Premiere showing BLACK (SOLVED)

If you import an MP4 Video into Premiere and it is showing BLACK, here is what might work! I am using ADOBE 2019

Thank you for your video. I have a problem with images imported into project bin. The thumbnails are black and dont show the image. If I double click on the black thumbnail, then I can see the image in the preview panel. How can I see the thumbnail image in the project bin without double clicking on it? Thank you

The major cause for Premiere Pro MP4 file import failure may be some required codec missing. To solve the MP4 or other incompatible issues, you're suggested to convert MP4 to Premiere Pro most edit-freindly format like MPEG2, DNxHD using DumboFab video converter.

Didn't work for me. Clip plays fine in Premiere when I drag it into the timeline, but when I join it to other clips it remains black. Getting really tired of all the bugs in Premiere.

I also noticed this on the exported video. Only new text and audio was working. This solved it! Thank you!🤩

My screen goes black *every* time i switch from Assembly to Edit workspaces and vice versa. Changing the renderer brings the video back, but I need a fix that I don't have to do every single time. Any ideas?
