Big UK canal perch on the Abu Garcia Roxani BF8

This is a video on the Abu Garcia Roxani BF8 reel. The Roxani BF8 is a more entry-level, finesse baitcaster option for those looking to get into BFS without going too crazy buying expensive reels. The Roxani BF8 sits at a very different price to my usual Shimano Aldebaran BFS XG reel and I have made this video in answer to the questions I've had about a good starting reel to get into casting more finesse presentations on a baitcaster. I wanted to give an opinion and help out those who are interested in giving a finesse BC reel a go and the best way to do this was to get one and try it out! I'm aware this reel isn't a pure BFS reel so to speak and won't be able to cast much below 2gr but I wanted to put it through its paces and see what it can do. The answer is quite a bit. I'm really impressed with it as a first impression, casting it down to 2gr and more comfortably 3gr and up. I managed to bag a lovely big perch towards the end of the vid which put it through its paces! I've really enjoyed putting the Roxani to the test on my Major Craft Speedstyle BF and hope it's been useful. Less spool tension and more brakes would probably solve a lot of your problems.
