Pop sensation Christina Aguilera is as known for her vocal range as her ability to keep changing her styles through the years. We first saw the young Christina belt out songs on the TV show Star Search post which she moved on to feature in the New Mickey Mouse Club. Both her performances saw her appreciated for her singing as well as her style which was pure 90s fashion. Aguilera’s first big break came as she was chosen to sing the song Reflection for the Disney movie Mulan. The music video saw Aguilera reinvent her childlike style with a short blonde bob haircut and sober makeup.

Christina Aguilera’s fashion sense perhaps first came to the attention of the glamour world with the release of her debut self-titled album. The music video for her hit single Genie in a Bottle saw the songstress venture out with bold fashion choices such as cropped tops, tight jeans, and bold teal eyeshadow. This change in appearance made XTina a fashion icon for her teenage audience. The bold look was taken a notch higher when Aguilera released her next album, Stripped. True to its title, the music videos saw the singer get down and dirty with her bold fashion choices. Dreadlocks, facial piercings, bandanas, and leather accessories all served to give her the ultimate bad girl charm. And fans were simply loving the new look.

In 2005, Christina tied the knot with music executive Jordan Bratman the new phase in her life saw Aguilera drop the dreadlocks and low waist jeans in favour of a style that spelled class. Red lipstick, elegant clothing with faux fur gave her a suave and sexy appeal. Three years later, she welcomed her first born – a son named Max – into the world. This phase also saw XTina move away from pop music in favour of a more jazz-blue sound. The former teenage pop sensation had now grown up in so many ways. Tragically in 2010, Christina’s marriage ended in divorce. Yet, the fierce diva that she is, she did not back down and reinvented herself yet again. she opted for a more electronic feel for her next album Bionic and once again revamped her look with leather outfits, bold accessories, and slicked back hairstyles. Fate was not on her side though and the box office failure of her movie Burlesque as well as personal turmoil saw Aguilera face flak from fashion magazines for her weight gain. Not one to give up or give in, the songstress was back with a bang in 2014 as she posed nude for a fashion magazine while heavily pregnant with her second child. This bold move was in tune with the old Aguilera that everyone remembered and won her much praise. At present Christina Aguilera is rocking a simple look with platinum blonde hair and soft makeup that adds an elegant grace and maturity to her beautiful face.
