An Honest Review Of GitHub CoPilot - First Look By A Software Developer

Today I was given access to GitHub CoPilot and I have to say, as far as first looks go it's still very much in beta. I'm going to try to give an honest review of GitHub CoPilot today, but it's still very much a work in progress. As a software developer beta programs are something you learn to live with, but this is still pretty rough.

I'd definitely recommend letting it mature a lot more before trying to use GitHub CoPilot in a serious capacity.

Bro, first github said that is more suitable for JS, typescript, python, it will not work properly on C# or Java

I've been basically binge-watching of videos on Copilot from a lot of different people, and you've had the worst luck I've seen with the autocompletion. It makes me wonder if they're doing A/B testing with their users, and you got the short end of the stick. Lol.
I get that it's not perfect, but it just seems like it performed way better in all the other videos I've seen.

Remember the copilot is your partner.
both are writing a program.
Think... you are not adding comments in the src for your friend...
instead of "create a hello world function" (an order)
say "a function that prints "hello world" (describe the function)
