i bought this cable 3 years ago and i was wondering when i tried it back then it didn't work. i bought the other adapter and it indeed worked. 3 years later now i was going to find out why it didn't work and i came across this video. i got scammed. i knew it was too good to be true. thanks for putting the word out on these scammers.👍

In Amazon you can find plenty of HDMI to VGA cables that have a microchip on the VGA side for the conversion of the signal. The one that you have doesn't and it's a scam, but this doesn't mean that there aren't cables that can't do that. People just need to spend a minute to read the technical specs of the product and the buyers feedbacks before buying. The chip in the VGA take its power from the HDMI port, no need to have attached a USB cable for auxiliary power.

Omg i just about to buy one of these thing, idk if you will see this comment but i have old monitor that use these vga cable and my new prebuilt just coming in and i was surprised i cant use the vga cable on it because it only has hdmi port, now i think i need to buy these hdmi to vga adapter and NOT the CABLE one thank you, god bless me it will work

i have a vga to hdmi converter, which intakes a vga signal from the monitor, and puts it out as a hdmi signal, I've tested it on my brothers ps5, which works, but doesn't work on my pc,

so I'm wondering if the signal is supposed to be going the other way, from pc to monitor?, instead of the other way around.

I have a problem: I have a 2009 MAC Pro with a SATA. Now my monitor is acting up. I bought a new one and used the the HDMI to VGA adapters. It powers up, but it says 'no input' and goes right into energy savings mode. What do I do??

Do you know if the reverse is possible with these adapters? VGA output (laptop) to HDMI input (monitor). Just curious. My actual use case is the other way around as you've mentioned. bc the "electronics" might work for digital to analog, but not for analog to digital
