Discovering cap cut for desktop gave me an existential crisis and made me rethink my whole professional career.

I discovered the desktop version a few months back and have been learning the in’s and out’s. It’s a definite game changer in the fact that I can now spend more time brainstorming new video ideas rather than figuring out how to work the program.

Editing is becoming easier and easier which will let creators focus on the most important part... CREATING

This is what editing software was supposed to be. If Filmora and resolve had a child, that's what I would use for most editing tasks. I am definitely checking this one out. I know the phrase "game changer" is thrown about more often than it has to, but Capcut appears to be a genuine game changer!

This is where Premiere and Davinci fails for any beginner, semi-pro or content creator needs to create powerful videos ready to go with trending assets. Amazing!

I found this editor quite by accidentally. I installed the desktop version. It's nice and fun, aimed at Tiktok in my opinion. Missing some basic stuff. It doesn't even have pause, stop, forward, rewind, frame forward, frame rewind buttons. There is no trim window. There's no audio editing. Not even a balance between left and right channels and at least a basic equalizer. This is a fun video editor for phone or tablet, ported to desktop. I'll be following its development with interest.

I’ll be born in 37 days but let me tell you this video is the most clear-cut, concise, straight to the point, no mumbo-jumbo tutorial I haven’t ever experienced. I haven’t even watched it yet and I’m already subbscribbed, thanks a million you owe me so much!

ive been wanting to get into editing having zero experience but all of the tutorials for ae or similar programs make me so frustrated. now i found this and this makes me so damn happy this looks like something i can actually work with as a beginner and this brief tutorial/explanation is all i wanted this looks both simple and high quality

The fact this is free and runs from the desktop is very cool. But on the otherhand they fact this is free while offering so much options makes it bit sketchy too, I have trust issues with this. fellow IT security people know what i mean. this might be a very good starting program for young kids and students with no budget for Adobe and Vegas pro, but to have work in a high end commerical world I won`t trust a free full package editor like this. For the you that don`t understand what I try to say = whenever something worthy is free, you the user pay with your data/personal information.

Dan I just found your link about 45 minutes ago and I have lost what's left of my mind 😂 I now have it on my desktop and I'm going back and forth exploring the CapCut and listening to you. I have adobe (3 years) and Final Cut (over 20 years) on my desktops and this is so far going toe to toe with those two. Thank you, your presentation is clear, direct and simple and so is CapCut.

Tried this one out and for simplistic editing and quick stuff, it's a game changer, somewhat a combination between After Effects and Premiere Pro on a light version, I love it, definitely going to dig deeper on it.

When I discovered capcut a few months ago I was very impressed. This is designed for fast and handy use, even on smaller devices like phones. Then I found out, that some simple, daily to use features don´t work if you are offline. So, I think, they are tracking you and are looking what you are doing. China is watching you... No choice for me any longer, I threw it away from all my hardware tools...

Well done video, Dan. After watching it once I know that I will say goodbye to DaVinci and hello to CapCut desktop. Can't wait to get started.

Great video!

My motivation to use Cap cut are due to two reasons: 1) beginner/user friendly (as you said) with all the needed options and 2) it doesn't slow down my laptop/process.

This is a real game changer! The workflow in Capcut is very simple and fast. However, I didn’t find a proper way to work with key frames as I can do it in DaVinci. But still I can do 95% of my work in Capcut🤯

I love Filmora's variety of transition effects and the built-in music library; they make video editing so much more fun.

I now mainly use it for Social Media Content and smaller projects. I only switch to PP/AE when i need specific things or doing bigger projects. And the 90€/year for the Pro Version are definetly worth it! :)

I recently switch to capcut from davinci resolve (free version) Davinci is probably overkill for most youtube/social media and I had been using it since version 12. With every update, my pc got slower and slower to the point now that it is un-usable. Capcuts ease and simplicity make it a great tool and i can now spend more time creating and less time editing. Great video btw.

Dan. Thank you for sharing the Calcut software with everyone. I'm a retired radio guy but now doing personal projects and video. I've used many programs like Adobe, Power Director and several others but I'm up late in my studio and stumbled across your video. I am fully inspired and can't wait to dive in. Thank you so much!
