Excellent review! Great comparison with the Rasman (which I have not ridden). When I'm not riding Orcas, I've found the T.Rice Pro is my daily. Looking into the Apex Orca just to complete a pawwwwd. I appreciate the thorough review!

Hi James I'm really torn between sizing on this one ... I already have a 153 orca and mc wayfinder ...I'm about 191 to 193 lbs with my gear on and us size 10.5 thirty two lashed and mullair xd3 boots .... i feel the 153 might be too small but then I had the original 158cm goldmember and think that's alot of board ... I've also got the 152 dancehaul so I've got no problem with wide boards ... just wanna make sure the 157 is my best bet

Hi James, I’m 5’5, 100 lbs and size 7.I’m using 144 orca, it prove me a lot with this board, it makes me really like libtech’s board, I wanna buy golden orca for my next level snowboarding, but the shortest length is 150cm, 150 golden orca’s stand distance can fit me, I’m miserable that should I buy golden orca? Could you please give me some advice, thank you! By the way, I’m proving my carving skill and usually I’m snowboarding on piste.

Hey, Beastie! Just a general / rando ? Why does Mervin do this hybrid-rocker profile (for the Orcas) as opposed to just a straight-up camber profile? What is the advantage of going camber zones under each foot / but then having that flat middle zone (?) ---- Ha, I've always been a disciple of straight-up camber... and I guess I'm just wondering why Mervin goes with this camber/flat/camber combo (is that something that Travis insisted on)? That's my biggest hesitation in not picking up an Orca (that strange flat section that basically disrupts a true arc of traditional camber)... So, ha, yeah, just wondering if you have any insight as to w h y Mervin does this profile over trad camber

I know it’s a significant different board but how does this compare to a mercury? I currently have a Mercury and wanting to add this my quiver but afraid they might be similar.

What I should do? I have 9 boot size and I love how this board rides in 153 but it's too short for me... Normaly I ride 160... Could I have an equivalent board?
Maybe Lib Tech RASMAN 161?
In Golden Orca 153 we have 26.3 weist and 8 side cut and in RASMAN 161 we have 26.1 weist and 8 side cut... But I dont know if this board has preaty the same shape ?

Hi I am 5'9" 160-165lb with a size 10.5 boot. I'm looking into riding some powder, but need something that I can still do some 180s/360s with just off the little humps in the terrain as well as riding the rest of the resort without having to switch boards. I feel like the golden orca is the board for that. I currently ride an all mtn libtech on the shorter side (154 skate banana) for my weight/height so those ground tricks are easier, but the board is not fast. I know you said this board isn't fast either, but I was wondering if I got the 157 if it would give me that speed on groomed trails while still getting good powder performance, or am I sacrificing something by getting a longer board and I should just go with the 153?

Does the C2 camber profile ride the same or similar as the Flying V camber profile?

The only thing stopping me from buying this board is that I hear it’s more chatter on hardpack or groomers than the regular orca. I don’t think I want to pay more for a harsher ride when in the north east I don’t get the best POW conditions. Does anyone have a feedback on this?

hi, im 6 foot 180 lbs size 10 boot. for golden orca sizing im looking at 157/161. im considering going bigger at 161 for better upper end performance in bigger terrain and deeper pow. do you think that makes sense? or is it gonna be too much board for me?

Trying to decide between the Orca, Golden Orca and Arbor Satori. I am 5'9, 150 lbs and size 11. Would the 150 Orca work for size 11 boots? I am thinking I'd go for the 150 orca, 153 golden orca or the 151 or 148 Satori. I'd love to hear your thoughts on my take on this
