When I look back where I come from, a very poor family background, now I am overseas and I will soon be graduating from Medical school. This is my victory song! God is great! Thanks Amanda Black for this song.

I used to listen to this song back in 2016 while I was studying Mechanical Engineering and things did not work but I am proud today to say I am graduating in 2024 in BA Psychology. This song still inspires me till today.

my dad left us when i was young, i managed to tracked him and found him when i was 18 years old, i was hoping he would love and care for me, his life went on as if i was not his daughter, never made any effort, no calls or texts from him.... i continued to strive with my mom's support, sisiwa sivuka, i enrolled at university. Doing my final year this year, he now claiming that im his daughter and im no longer there now.... i dont recognise the guy now. Avulekile Amazulu, dedicating this degree to MOM... I totally relate with this song

Had a tough childhood, by the age of 19 yrs I was already the mother of two. I changed my life around. I now hold a degree in Bt:Nursing Science. Two people said to me that this music video reminds them of me, I see my resilience too♥️

this song reminds me of the times I was left with a baby by my virgin broker, I was young with no financial assistance from him or his family now the baby is turning six years this Friday 05/10/2012 and I am now working for the biggest company in SA and I can afford to take her to the best schools in Bloemfontein..Livumile icamangu

Drifting
I'm drifting away
Into the darkness
Ndizothath' umthwalo
Ndimbeke emqolo mama
Ubomi bunzima
So lift my head up high
Open my eyes
And I will fly oh
I'm barely coping
I'm feeling closed in
Looking up, hoping
The heavens will open
Mdali wezulu
Ndikhalela kuwe
Open up, open up
I'm feeling closer now
The light is shining brighter but I'm losing my flow

Kudala ndisiwa ndivuka
Ndifuna noluthando
Ndifuna noluthando mmn
Kudala ndifuna ubomi buvume
Vungama ngonyama
Vungama

Avuleka avuleka
Avuleka avuleka avuleka amazulu

'Vuleka amazulu
Oooooh
Avuleka avuleka avuleka
'Vuleka amazulu
'Vuleka amazulu
'Vuleka amazulu

I'm giving, they're taking
Tripping, I'm falling
Tell me I'm nothing
Don't care what they saying
And I'm begging you darling
Stop losing your flow
Ey no more drifting
No more drifting away
Livumil' icamagu
Avulekile amazulu
I'm fighting for survival
Ndiliqhawe, ndiliqhawe
Ndiyingonyama

Eeeehh-Ooooohh
Oooo-ooooh, oooo-ooooh

Dedicate this song to my mom, who sat up with me through sickness and through my studies. I am a teacher now thanks to God's grace and mom's support.

I'm Nigerian and I don't understand some of what she's saying, but I still get the song's message. This song is so touching, and she has such a great voice. She's so beautiful, and I'm very happy I discovered her.
