After more than 2 years of hard work and dedication, I am more than thrilled to bring you Cell Block Tango. Every participant involved worked so hard and I couldn't be prouder of the final result. Silverstream refusing she killed Millie seems like her. She knew she would’ve done it but she wanted graystripe to be happy. But, to be honest knowing graystripe, he really did have it coming.

I find it morbidly hilarious how Mapleshade is set up as the hype man for the characters in this AU, when in canon she wronged every single one of the other members of the cast:

-She tried to kill Squirrelflight's mom and Hollyleaf's grandma, Sandstorm, in the great battle with the dark forest because she was jealous Sandstorm had a happier life than her.

-She worked with Goldenflower's ex, Tigerstar, to train cats in the dark forest. (She also helped him on his path to lead Shadowclan in Tigerclaw's Fury or something? But I think inserting her there was a little unnecessary)

-She helped to manipulate Nightcloud's son, Breezepelt, along with the other dark forest trainees, in their goal to turn them against the clans.

-Silverstream's father is Crookedstar, who Mapleshade earned the trust of when he was a child and proceeded to manipulate him and exacerbate the mental anguish of traumatic events throughout his life because he's related to Appledusk, and she has a vendetta against the bloodline. (In fact, Silverstream would be in the firing line of this vendetta as well. In a manga extra at the end of Crookedstar's super edition, after Silverstream dies in childbirth Mapleshade mocks Crookedstar saying he has lost everything and his punishment is now complete.)

Idea for the storyline of this au in chronological order:
Mapleshade - she was accepted into RiverClan after her kits drowned, but Appledusk still had the affair with Reedshine. This time Maple killed them both and fled RiverClan. When she died she went to the df for her crimes, and vowed to help she-cats who she felt were in a similar situation.
Goldenflower - it's pretty straightforward here. Events switched around so that Tigerclaw is dating Sasha while he's in ThunderClan still. Perhaps Redtail is still deputy since when Reedshine was killed, there was no next generation to create Hailstorm, and without Hailstorm there's no Crookedstar or Oakheart.
Squirrelflight - Brambleclaw loses the fight with Hawkfrost and Firestar dies as well. There's a struggle for leadership, but my guess if that Sandstorm or Brackenfur would be chosen. She takes Ashfur as her mate.
Nightcloud - in her dreams, Mapleshade tells Nightcloud of Crowfeather's affair with Leafpool and their kits in ThunderClan. When Nightcloud questions Crowfeather on this, he gets defensive and the fight escalates until Nightcloud kills her mate. She takes Breezekit and flees WindClan to become rogues.
Hollyleaf - during the fire scene, Ashfur discovers the three don't belong to him. Leafpool cries out for her kits when she sees the three in danger, and Squirrelflight admits that the three belong to Leafpool. Heart broken and jealous, Ashfur says he's going to reveal this at the gathering and shames Squirrelflight for not being loyal to him. Hollyleaf kills Ashfur to shut him up, but is haunted by the guilt of murdering the cat raised as her father.
Silverstream - Graystripe and Millie are in StarClan with her. I'm going to say that Graystripe was killed in Firestar's place in the dark forest battle, giving him and Silverstream time to reconnect. Somehow, Millie turns up dead on StarClan territory. Silverstream is telling the truth when she says she didn't kill Millie. Ashfur killed Millie because she saw him digging the tunnel to the dark forest. But Silverstream is blamed.

As someone who’s been waiting a bit for this map, I actually never knew it was actually going to be finished. I already know this is going to be a good map. It gave each animator time to improve given the amount of time the map took!
