What they teach vs. real life. Writing isn’t all about essays anymore. #adhd #teachingwriting

If you’re researching how to write an essay, stop for a minute and think about whether or not this is a skill we use all the time in real life nowadays. Because of social medium, I actually see way more short form writing way, like grab my attention in ten seconds, than long form five paragraph essays. Not to say it isn’t important. I’m just asking if our schools are keeping up with the times in what writing looks like now.
