This Calculus 1 video explains many of the different ways to evaluate limits algebraically that do not involve a graph. We begin with the easiest method of finding limits algebraically, which is plugging in the x value, if the function is well-behaved at that value. For cases where we get something like zero over zero, we look at some other example methods for evaluating limits algebraically: factoring, multiplying by conjugate, and getting a common denominator.
