Tim Tebow and Steph Curry are two of the most well-known outspoken Christian athletes, but for some reason it seems like Tim Tebow is more controversial and divisive than Steph Curry. Why is this? Ray Comfort explores this interesting question from the Scriptures, and then asks people their thoughts on Christian athletes as a springboard into the gospel.

RAY!! I have an amazing story. I work at a fast food restaurant. This guy came through the drive thru, asked me if I got my million dollars yet, and then handed me one of your million dollar gospel bills. I recognized it and said “this is the gospel isn’t it?” He said “you watch living waters too?” It was an amazing moment!! It made my night

Tim Tebow is way more inspiring beyond just a sport, he is not ashamed of the gospel!

I am a Denver Broncos fan and for those who don't know Tim Tebow had one of the most miraculous seasons in 2011. He capped it all off by beating the Pittsburgh Steelers who had the #1 defense in the playoffs after all the professional pundits said he was a lousy QB who'd never accomplish a thing. That game became known as the 3:16 game.

That night vs the Steelers Tebow threw for 316 yards, he averaged 31.6 yards per pass (NFL record), the Broncos average rushing attempt was 3.16 yards, the Steelers time of possession was 31:06, the TV ratings for that game was a 31.6 and during the game 90 million people Googled John 3:16.

This is more than a mere coincidence. The chances of that happening naturally is astronomical. On top of those odds Tebow has a strong and fearless faith. In the college national championship game 2 years earlier on the same exact day Tebow wrote John 3:16 in his eye paint. Glory to God!

I loved Tim Tebow and he as always a man of faith. He never cursed at refs and he was the guy I always looked up to. He Wasn't scared to talk about his faith, and it was no cheese watered down gospel. Young man myself with a heart to play for the Naval academy midshipmen, I aspire to be like Tim Tebow. John 3:16

Anyone else remember the guy in the 70's and 80's who was always in the stands at baseball games wearing a rainbow wig and holding a sign that read "John 3:16"? You know it took the pandemic to make me finally look up that verse? Now I read the Bible regularly and am born again. I'm proof that man's passion is still reaching people. That's an amazing thing.

Tebow isn't perfect but you know you're doing something right when the world rejects you

As a Christian for many years, I believe my greatest personal pain is when I sin, because I just either don't care enough not to or don't love God fully enough to stop, but knowing it's sin and still sinning nonetheless, it has damaged my life. My advice to all believers, is do not ever compromise your faith by a little temptation. Live out your faith in complete devotion, regardless of what loss you perceive it may deprive you of.

I have such huge respect for Tim and his bold desire to share the gospel with others. I also love the way he shares his love with special needs children of God.

I think people equate Steph Curry's faith with his success on the basketball court. They see his faith more beneficial to their beliefs because of the success he has and how happy he seems

With Tim Tebow's faith, he was given a chance but never had a successful career in pro football. Minus the 2011 season of course. He has had to endure more let downs which some people don't want.

This is where the Gospel gets confusing to people. Where some believe having God in their life will bring out all the success and happiness in the world. But as mentioned in all of the Bible, especially in Job, just because you love and pursue God, doesn't mean you are exempt from failure, heartache, and disappointment.

To me, Tim Tebow's faith is a better example of someone who has Jesus in their heart because he has complete joy in their life. Even with a failed NFL career, mediocre minor league career, and a failed return to the NFL

When Tebow won that playoff game for the Broncos bc of him the verse John 3:16 stuck in my mind and I wasn't a Christian yet.

I have never seen Tim Tebow be anything less then a stand up guy. He spreads the good news and no matter what thats at the top of the priority list.

I respect both Tom and Steph but I must agree I've seen Tim stand firm for Christ even in the midst of intense scrutiny. One never really seen Steph take a stance that goes against the grain of current culture. And in recent years I don't hear him mention his faith as much while Tim is still on the front lines as far as I've seen

I commend both Tebow and Curry for sharing their faith publicly.

The young lady near the end of the video was the most truthful, respectful, and admirable person you could have found to present the Gospel message. I pray she accepts the message and turns to God for redemption.
