It's an interesting design, but it's one thing to get a remote controlled prototype flying; it's quite another to get it safety-certified and getting it's onboard control systems validated and proven safe while scaling it up to be able to carry people safely.

Visually, with those stubby wings, the aircraft has the aesthetics of a thalidomide baby.

FAA requires you to create a flight plan and track your flight path in real time. Can you imagine if a million VTOLs were flying around every day? This doesn’t scale but gives the rich something to do.

These guys are building the wrong aircraft. This is especially ironic give they are from Canada. Their fellow countryman solved this problem some 60 years ago. Have you heard of the CL-84 Dynavert?
