If you ever feel in the mood for eating some freshly made Authentic Middle Eastern breads, but don't fancy traveling all the way to Lebanon or Syria, then it's well worth checking out Damascene Bakery in Shepherds Bush (in London); they serve up very affordable freshly baked breads such as Spinach Manakish, Mohamarah, Fatayer, Thyme.

There is no secret to the preparation because the Master bakers freshly prepare & bake everything in full view of customers.

Zeit and Zatar (Z&Z bakery) is a few metres down the road and is incredible too. They do the most amazing breafast there and it's so affordable.

I ate from this place a number of times. I had these flat breads with zaatar or mince/ cheese, and I can say these are my favourites.
I wish I knew how to make the dough so I can I make it at home. Thanks for sharing.
