I have never heard a good sounding version of this 1966 garage rock track so I've decided to give it a try myself - here's the result :)

Lyrics:
One day you're up and the next day you're down
You can't face the world with your head to the ground
The grass is always greener on the other side, they say
So don't worry, boys, life will be sweet someday

We made enough mistakes
But you know we got what it takes
Oh, we ain't got nothin' yet
No, we ain't got nothin' yet

Nothin' can hold us and nothin' can keep us down
And someday our names will be spread all over town
We can get in while the getting is good
So make it on your own, yeah, you know that you could

We got to make the break
'Cause we got too much at stake
Oh, we ain't got nothin' yet
No, we ain't got nothin' yet

We made enough mistakes
But you know we got what it takes
Oh, we ain't got nothin' yet
No, we ain't got nothin' yet

A Garage/psychedelic audio roller coaster from some truly great guys from NYC. Ralph, Pepe and the rest -- thanks, man. This is what I danced to and what I wanted my band to sound like.

Just found your channel and immediately subscribed after I came across this gem. Best it has ever sounded to me. Not sure if you take requests but it would be great to hear a stereo remix of the follow up single Pipe Dream and a first time stereo mix of the single version of One By One. As far as I know only the much different album version has been released in stereo.

1966 - The Year of Garage. Thanks to Steven Van Zandt for keeping this sound alive. Next up: "Talk Talk" (The Music Machine) and "Who Do You Love?" (the version by The Woolies).

Sounds like "Black Night" by Deep Purple.
