I’ve always wanted a Corgi, and my husband has always wanted a Shiba Inu. We found and rescued a Corgi / Shiba Inu mix from the local shelter, and she’s absolutely perfect. 😭

We just got a Shiba. She is amazing!! Very well mannered and mature for her age (10 weeks). Highly intelligent and loves everyone and every dog! I can tell they’re stubborn though. She learned sit, stay, and is learning come. She definitely loves to do her own thing though.

My corgi acts like a Shiba. She gets attention then runs away saying ok no more leave me alone. Lol

I used to work as a kennel technician and knew when we got a Shiba in I would be taking them home. Now I’m one for the “adopt don’t shop” but Shibas are my dream dog and I knew this was the only way to get my Shiba (that and I was constantly looking at our local shelter for the last two years with no success). When we got our first Shiba in, that was it, I knew I would be taking him home. People say that Shibas pick out one person that they’re loyal to and I was lucky enough to be his. I love that dog more than anything else and I know he feels the same way. We’re pretty much inseparable. He has his typical Shiba attitude and is very vocal! I know now that I will always have a Shiba in my home. I love my little best friend ❤️

Shibas are unlike any dog I’ve had before. I have two and although they are highly intelligent, they are most definitely on their own program lol

Omg my daughter got me a corgi pup 2 yrs ago after my last heart attack to help keep my activity up. My little corgi Kieran has become the best friend I've ever had in my close to 50yrs on this earth.

I'd choose a Shiba any day. They are dogs with attitudes. Perfect mixture of dogs and cats.

I had a shiba for 11 years. She was the best dog I could’ve asked for.

I have both dogs. Something that I rarely see mentioned is that corgis are really vocal dogs. They make noises for all sorts of things, grunts, growls, expressions of joy, and barking. He makes noises just chasing after balls. In comparison, my shiba rarely makes any noise at all. She's so silent, we had to put a bell on her. She will pass by barking dogs and just stop and watch, and then moves on. She only yips at night because she's such a hunter and watch dog and we live in coyote territory. She's extremely quiet about everything, and most things don't phase her. She's very self-possessed and deliberate.

I had a corgi for 8 years, best dog in the whole wide world. I rescued him as a senior dog and he lived for 8 years after that!

i have a corgo, sleeping right in front of the tv as i write this, for me the most funny thing about having a corgo is their look,
seriously i laughed countless times just by watching them, whatever they do seems so cute with their little short leg LMAO
