Today you’re going to learn The 2-Step Church Announcements Formula.

Follow this formula and you’ll see your congregation pay more attention during your announcements.

Even better…this formula will lead to more next steps taking place in your church each week.

I’ve personally presented more than 30,000 church announcements over the last five years – and this formula encapsulates everything I’ve learned in that time.

The best part?

This formula works in any church, in any context.

How can I be so sure?

Simply put, this announcement formula uses the most powerful form of human communication as its foundation: storytelling.

Storytelling is the single most powerful form of human communication. And I know that’s a pretty big claim, so let me offer you some proof to back it up.

This was awesome. I was appointed to be my church announcer and I needed this. I love the story telling.

As someone making weekly announcements at church, this is very helpful. We are definitely guilty of making "next steps" too complicated. Awesome video!

The story framework was most helpful for me. Also, the 50% rule is golden! I'm sitting here thinking, "I want more people to come on Sunday night and God has been doing some awesome things there in the lives of many." It would be so much more effective to share stories of people who have been blessed by Sunday Night services!

Thank you so very much for your explanation of how the next generational church should operate. Storytelling is so important, not only for today. It has always been and always will be. That’s what I came away with mostly from your information. Thank you once again.

The story telling is always exciting and glad to have this reminder that we always need to inspire instead of just giving info. I'm sharing this with my worship and arts team to help create this change. Thanks for all the work you do!

A clear, easily accessible, up to date website is a MUST have

Wait -- that was more than ten minutes!

Thank you for the reminder to keep it to fewer announcements to add punch. These are all things I knew, but had to be reminded of. The 50% rule is a great way to eliminate a lot of announcements, too. I use stories as the central feature in many of my sermons, but including them in announcements was new to me.

Thanks for putting the video together!

This is super informative. I've picked up on all this from a year of watching through your videos, but it's great to see it all broken down in One Plain Detailed video. Keep up the good work Brady (and team)

Assuming you start announcing an event 6 weeks out, how often do you put it in the Sunday announcements? We announce every upcoming event every week until it expires. Stage announcements--when you have captivated attention--are much more effective than the bulletin or website.

Also, once you give your story about a particular event--say baptism in your example--what do you do with that announcement every other week until the event happens? Does it get that special treatment once? And then goes into the "less important" rotation and gets only a mention?

How do you advertise doing church announcements for other churches?

I have a question. You stated that baptism is an announcement that applies to more than 50% of the congregation and I don’t see how that is so. Typically most of the people attending church have already been baptized. Can you explain this?

Thanks for the great content, Brady. Not sure if this question has already been asked...but is the info webpage that you send people to separate from your main webpage or is it a link to a page within your main webpage?

This is awesome! What kind of camera are you using to capture your video footage in this video??

Gee; Prochurchtools for breakfast? These releases are earlier and earlier PTL! I like the 50% rule. Thank you.

Brady, this is very interesting and useful information, but it takes you far too long to go through it. I really feel like this could be a 5-minute video that gets all the same info across, but is more mindful of the viewer's time. I would encourage you to try to be a little more concise. God bless.

Do you call your announcements anything other than “announcements” or “video announcements”?
