I Just Bought A Mercedes E63 AMG W212!

In this video, I talk about my 2011 E63 AMG W212 sedan, which I recently bought. It's one of the best sounding AMGs and it has the legendary M156 V8 engine. I'm excited to dial this car in and make a few videos on it. (4K HDR) Shot on the new Panasonic S5 with Sigma Art 24-70 2.8.

Congrats on finding your perfect spec! I have a ‘15 E63S myself and prefer that for a variety of reasons but you really can’t go wrong with any of them. No other vehicle blends so many characteristics quite like an E Class AMG.

I have an updated head bolt, 23000 KM (14, 400 miles), 2011 E63 AMG, W212 sedan with the P30 AMG Performance Package with the interior and exterior High Gloss Carbon fibre packages in Diamond White. It is one of the best sounding vehicles I own !

Congrats, I have a black 2011 E63. I think the W212 looks better in lighter colors. Just a tip you might already know. Never rev it up high or drive it hard until the oil gets up to optimum temperature. When you start it up go to AMG menu where it shows you coolant and oil temps. You will see the oil temp flashing until it reaches around 175 F. I'm in the US. Then you can rev the engine high and drive it hard. I believe if you do this you never have to worry about the camshaft adjusters going bad. Mine now has 139k miles on it and still going strong. I drive it everyday and I drive it hard

Be interesting to see your W212/211 comparison too. I've owned a 2013 W212 E63 with the 157 - and frankly I love my W211 E55 as a drivers car much more than the 212. BUT the 212 is a step ahead in terms of technology & premium interior feel. (mine was facelift)

First off, AMG meister what a car. Congratulations 👍.
I have owned my UK W212 6.3 M156 coming up 4.5 years. I have the w211 e55k for 2.5 years before this. In a straight line duel there isn't much in it. Apart from the sound ofcourse the 6.3 sounds more brutal than that of the sc 5.5 lump. Both sound insane but the 156 is much better it's fact! On the twisties the w212 leaves the big barge w211 for dead trust me the w212 is fantastic in the corners. It has an identical slalom skid pan performance or the E60 M5 with more power and torque. The luxury the car gives in general day to day driving is incredible. And then if you want that mad party to spring to life, then this car with this engine is just awesome. The exhaust note this car produces is just pure crazy. As you say it's in the top 5 if not top 3 sounding AMG cars. In w212 armour the 6.3 sounds much different to the C63 and sl 63 and the w211 63. Must be to do with the overall exhaust set up of the w212. As you say the pre facelift looks so much more aggressive than the facelift. Also the 5.5 tt maybe faster. But it doesn't hold a candle to the sound the 6.3 makes. Doesn't come close. The m113k sounds better than the 5.5 tt. Anyway congratulations like I have already said. Congrats! Been waiting on this video as I have a twin spec 2010 myself. Never knew about the production numbers. These will definitely become classics one day with the m156. Maybe sooner than we think!
