Orthodox Christianity and Noahide Laws

Under the Noahide laws, Christians are considered idolaters for worshiping Christ, & the penalty for idolatry is death by beheading. Simply put, the Noahide laws sound agreeable to a lot of Christians, but the devil's in the details.

The Jews believe they have to keep all 613 commandments given in the Torah and that Gentiles only have to keep 7 ‘Noahide Laws.’ Though, not all Jews believe this, such as the Karaite Jews who believe in the ‘Torah alone’ because I believe the Noahide Laws are mainly a teaching of the Talmud based on laws given to Adam and to Noah before the revelation to Moses on Mt. Sinai.

A question somewhat off-topic. Do you have any thoughts about whether it's helpful to use the adjective "Eastern" when referring to the Orthodox Church? I understand some of the reasons for this, such as Christian faith being born in the East (from the Eurocentric perspective), or praying towards the East where Jerusalem is, or differentiating us from the Western Christians. However, with increasing Orthodox presence in the Western world and development of such things as the Western Rite, isn't that limiting the Church to a particular geography, at least in the eyes of people not very familiar with the Orthodox Church. If we believe that the Orthodox Faith is Catholic, that is universal and whole, and is for everyone, shouldn't we just call it the Orthodox Church or Orthodox Catholic Church? It reminds me a little of the Ethnic problems that we sometimes get from referring to our jurisdictions as churches - Russian Orthodox Church, Serbian Orthodox Church, Bulgarian Orthodox Church etc.

Just wondering if you have any thoughts about this one :)
