Hi everyone so good to see you this day. Pete nice choice to Skynyrd as sure got into them. Saw them then luckily. And miss those they made the music . I don't own the album as i use to. Space saving purge when and well can maybe have tunes on cassettes of Skynyrd I recorded, Anyway for today day 7 while I do not have FLEETWOOD MAC's Mystery To Me album and like some tracks on it, I do have the other one Penguin. on vinyl. And the start off track with Remember Me as we remember Christine McVie. And having Bob Welch doing Bright Fire. Christine on Dissatisfied, Then you have I'm A Road Runner cover where contributor Dave Walker of Savoy Brown and such doing song with the band along with harmonica also., Followed by The Derelict. Then Bob Welch singing for Revelation. Did You Ever Love Me with Christine and harmony vocals with guitarist Bob Weston too. Then song Night Watch and Peter Green adding additional lead on wiki says. Then Caught In The Rain a Bob Weston instrumental.

I have to say that the album is a beautiful listening album from start to finish and well done in the diversity of music playing. Although they didn't keep Dave Walker, for the two tracks he contributed to I beg to differ that I think he added to the album here some nice difference and like the tracks and the band otherwise as a whole plenty of flavor to the whole album and that along with the great band they already were and become yet again starting in 74 with album before then with the iconic lineup and albums that everybody loves just as well. Walker came in just for relevance to couple of tracks he did. So it's okay on that respect as well. Mystery To Me album a nice album with Bob Welch and me liking Hypnotized he did. Miss him. And so as Fleetwood Mac goes in 1973 they were still in the game and in playing music and thanks to Mick Fleetwood the drummer as always to him And the great late Martin Birch for production on Penguin and Mystery To Me albums.
And there you have it. Have a wonderful day and remember that music bridges and brings most people together to enjoy and talk about and that's what I love of coming here and being apart of. And into the future as we share our thoughts and insights of music. Take care friends. 🎶🎸🎤🎹🥁👍☮

You sum up this wonderful album in such a perfect way. I have heard you speak about it in numerous contexts over the years and each time I am blown away by your words. I was so proud to have this album, when I managed to pick up a second version in 1977 and it took pride of place in my collection. It still does.

Pete's pick will be on my list later in the month. My pick for today is: Desperado - The Eagles. The first time I went to a bar was in 1973, I was only 17, but the drinking age was 18 in my state at the time. I ordered a Tequila Sunrise because that was the only drink I knew by name.

My previous picks:
1. Birds of Fire - Mahavishnu Orchestra
2. Spectrum - Billy Cobham
3. Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy - Return to Forever
4. Billion Dollar Babies - Alice Cooper
5. Brothers and Sisters - Allman Brothers Band
6. Beck, Bogert & Appice - Self Titled

Already chosen by a few characteristically wise viewers in this feature, my chouce today The Captain and Me by The Doobie Brothers. My favourite album by the band and to my ears the hardest rocking. There's the usual diversity of styles here from almost progressive folk to country balladry to rnb, pop, and crashing riff rock. Features the band's 2 heaviest songs Without You and Evil Woman. The twin guitar work of Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons is outstanding throughout showing the perfect dovetailing between 2 consummate players who can play in a diversity of styles. Their lead vocals and the band's harmonies are also outstanding throughout.
Great choice today Pete, I haven't nominated the Skynyrd debut yet, but will be doing so later.

ELP- Brain Salad Surgery. After Asia made their debut, I wanted to hear more from Carl Palmer and this was the first thing I got into. Started me getting into more prog rock music for sure.
