Learn how to leverage social media for simpler, more effective research. Back in college, I found researching arduous, but over the years, I’ve honed these skills. Now I actually enjoy it. Social media can augment your research to make the process a little less overwhelming. Here’s how.

Social media can help you reach a wider audience, which can build your reputation and open more doors for you. You’ll be able to reach people who wouldn’t find your research otherwise.

The power of social media is incredible for connecting you with other researchers and building relationships that can lead to fruitful collaborations.

Be intentional and make your content engaging to all viewers, not just other researchers. By avoiding jargon, polishing your content, and packaging it in an engaging way, you’ll widen your reach and prove the value of your research.

There are many problems with opt-in online surveys, many of which boil down to self-selection bias. That is, the population of persons signing up for the panel, and then the group who further signed up to take the survey, may and is likely not representative to the larger population that serves as a target population. There are weighting methods but these rely on very complicated methods and require planning ahead of time. For example, you can find a respected large governmental survey, you can ask the same parallel set of items on your survey. Then you can assign each person's response a weight so that the final weighted data looks very similar in the distributions on parallel questions in both surveys. Bad research is easier than you think, and good research is harder than you think. This is especially true when moving to a new field, such as bench science to opinoin polling. You don't know what you don't know.

Just throwing this out there, what if you gave the course away to a lucky subscriber? Super interested in the research course, and it’s a great deal right now especially relative to other courses, but tbh I’m still pretty broke. This might be a benefit to the channel since giveaways are common.

What a joke. Don't call it a research lmao. What you did and what you are saying is not research. It's just a joke that everyone can do in a very short period of time.
