While ray tracing in metro exodus is impressive, I still like the dark atmosphere in the original

in the "open world" scenes the ennhanced edition is freaking awesome. Indoor I kinda prefer the darker look from the original. makes it more spooky :D

There is a command that fixes the washed-out colors/white tint on the blacks in the Enhanced edition: just type -deependark under the launch options and you'll get the dark blacks back to normal, on top of the superior Ray Tracing of that version.

The studio’s next step is to make the models move more organically.

Apparently they didn’t capture the movement by mocap due to the cost and expense, and had to hand animate the cutscenes. For future instalments having more smoother and real movements would be awesome addition.

I like that the enhanced edition isn't excessively dark in places that light should bounce to, but I did need to turn my gamma down to the minimum to make dark areas look correct. By default there was almost no darkness anywhere.

After replaying, i understood why the game is so appealing, it's because of atmosphere, the sound design and awesome characters, the game fully immerses you in. Personally i prefer original except few places.

Despite the enhanced conflicting with the “artistic vision” it still blows my mind how far lighting has come in such a short time. This is more revolutionary than people are giving it credit for and I definitely can’t wait to try it this way

I think the outdoor areas look better with enhanced version, but in indoor areas I like the original version a lot more. It's darker, spookier and just goes with the feel of the game

actually, the enhanced edition has the most accurate light due to ray tracing calculation, original can have better dark graphics but its not accurate.
