It's not listed in the pursuits, but you can bring one of nearly each type of abberated crab to the painter in Little Marrow to craft various new paint colors. One of the three in Stellar Basin (the crown of thorns, I believe, which the game literally advises you to throw overboard rather than bother selling) isn't used, and surprisingly the Pale Reach's two crab abberations aren't either, but I think it's honorarily necessary for 100% even if the game doesn't require it.
Also, did you notice the so-called narwhal in the Pale Reach is a tiny version of the split-apart creature frozen in the ice? Additionally one of the region's obelisks states that it's torn apart and frozen because it lost some battle between godly sea entities, meaning that there's something even bigger and stronger down there! The leviathan confining you to the regions feels more and more like a kindness with each passing day.

13:50 honestly I saw it the opposite way- the captain tried and failed to wake this guy, and now it’s trapped in a hell of half-frozen half alive, perhaps fueled by the ghosts in the ice. He’s just able to go back to sleep now. Of course, I’ve always been soft for ocean animals considering my ideal profession is studying weddell seals in the sub-arctic, so I might be biased.
