This kit worked so well for me. The small crack in my windshield is now 90% gone and I don't feel like the crack will get bigger. The video is easier to follow along than the written instructions, although the guy pushes the plunger all the way down at 1:19. Just push halfway down, to the top notch

An important detail that's in the written instructions but not shown correctly in the video is when putting in the resin insert the nozzle of the tube into the pedestal as far as you can then squeeze, I tried to drip it in like the video and the resin just all sat on top (of course it did it's a sealed system and the air can't escape to let gravity pull the liquid in because the liquid is blocking the air at the top). So when I pulled the suction tube out it sucked half the resin back into it and gummed up the syringe. Had to use the pin to open it up again. It kinda worked, but not enough resin made it into the crack to fully repair it.

Turn the music up, I could barely hear it. Nice background vocals tho!

The guy in the video is doing it wrong. At 1:15 they tell you to push down to the upper notch, and the guy in the video pushes it down all the way. Don't do this. After halfway through the pressure is too high and you'll probably pop the adhesive if you keep going. Just push it to the upper notch and lock it with the spring. Look at 1:05 through 1:10. The upper notch is about halfway down the plunger...

Worked like a charm. Had to rewatch the video a few times before I attempted it

Good video. If your crack goes at all outside the Star, Safelite won't touch it (at least that was my experience with two cars.) I did this to one of my cars in the fall and it has held for 4 months. The trickiest part is the spring clip. I would suggest practicing locking it at the bottom tab and the top one several times before doing it with the resin. I really fumbled around with it the first time and had to rewatch the video with it on the window.

U would think taking to a shop to get patch would be reasonable cheap right? No, safelite wanted 140 plus a 3 day wait. This was only 20 bucks... I'll take my chances

Here's another trick for everyone while the resin is being pushed into the window use a cigarette lighter inside and go across the crack several times warming it up it expands it a little bit and the heat draws it in more to give it that almost gone look

The temperature is also critical 50F - 75 F. (10C to 25C)

will this work on large star cracks? what if the bullseye is on the inside (my wiperblade arm with nothing on it, tapped the windshield)

PLS HELP ASAP So what do I do if I messed up? instead of using the syringe to suck the air out for 20 minutes (because I got confused with the instructions) I ended up squeezing all the resin/adhesive into the disk tube and then I realized I messed up, panicked then pulled the disk sticker with the disk tube off and used the excess resin/adhesive with the transparent square and rubbed it on the crack in circular motion. As of right now, the resin is still wet. I still have time to remove the adhesive with rubbing alcohol (is that a good idea?) or will it be just as effective if I let it dry?

At the end of the day I just don’t want the crack to continue expanding… please help me.

What a terrible video, amateurs on the internet have better instructions than the actual company

No clear picture of your work, just quickly ending the video. I’ll shop elsewhere.

Don't push then pump back down to where he had it cause the pressure will blow out and cause a bigger crack.

When I reinsert the syringe, the liquid exploded out 😅. Just take your car to your local windshield repair. They the chips aswelll

This a joke right? Please don't waste your money and take it to a pro. Sun curing your uv resin? Definitely a cheap way to attempt to repair it but there's no way your getting all the trapped air out and replacing it with resin a little hand suction.
