Shock poll shows Kamala Harris still Democrats pick for 2028 election

Sky News contributor Kosha Gada has discussed the potential Democratic candidates for the 2028 election.

It comes as a new survey has revealed most Democrats want Vice President Kamala Harris to be the party’s 2028 presidential nominee.

According to Puck News/Echelon Insight poll revealed 41 per cent of Democrats would vote for Ms Harris to be on the ticket in 2028 followed by Gavin Newsom, and Josh Shapiro.

Ms Gada expressed scepticism about Ms Harris's viability and suggested other potential candidates like Gretchen Whitmer and Mark Kelly.

“There might be sympathy bias. Something colouring those numbers. She's never won anything nationally,” Ms Gada told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

“And other people who ran against Republicans who lost, like Hillary Clinton, and John Kerry, exited the state. So I don't see how she's gonna rise like a phoenix.”
