Smu[th] is back in action and hitting the pavement hard with an absolutely massive new cut to bring in 2011. The highly-acclaimed, UK based, progressive trance, Armada Music mainstay known as Mike Foyle teams up with the Los Angeles rooted French-man, AHR Management's head-honcho and DJ ace, Alex Milgrom. The two, affectionately, call their collaboration: Foylee & X-Vertigo. They humble Smu[th] by bringing a magnificent composition of heavenly delight in the form of, what they dubbed as, the 'Freak'.

With 'Freak', Foylee & X-Vertigo construct the groovy-funky-via-twisted bass of such devastating dance-floor grime alongside jack-hammering, techy, piercing-throbbing, high-end percs to achieve an indestructible progressive foundation. Atop of which is the addition of a beautifully contrasted melodic soundscape of ultra-dynamic, cinematic proportions. All designed to create an atypical, yet prodigious, peak-time progressive trance dance-floor destroyer!

Alongside the original are three equally as devastating interpretations; remix offerings for 'Freak' are provided by: Lost Stories, Noah Neiman and Anthony Ross, respectively. The Lost Stories duo, known for their qualitative projects on Black Hole, assemble a powerful trancer with an intelligently epic drive. Noah Neiman devises a tensioned, whimsical proggier cut intensifying the originals clean filthiness. And lastly, in vivid contrast, Anthony Ross turns the knob toward the left, while still adhering to the big-room theme, with a techno stroke of genius.
