John Walsh on Mondrian: Dutch Landscape Painter

In the first of a four-part lecture series, art historian and curator John Walsh discusses the career of the pioneer abstractionist Piet Mondrian (1892–1944). Mondrian began as a painter of Dutch scenes appealing to conventional tastes, realistic in style and sometimes moody, eventually intending to serve a spiritual purpose.
