John Blackwell (September 9, 1973 - July 4, 2017) was only 43 years old when he passed away. One of the greatest drummers of the past 50 years and an inspiration to countless others. His talent, that let him to playing and recording with Prince for 12 years, being a nominated and Grammy Award winning drummer, and working with artists like Patti LaBelle, Cameo, Justin Timberlake, Bootsy Collins and D'Angelo, made him enter the realm of legendary drummers in no-time.
