The idols of possessions and praise are real in every heart, we love to own material and love to be appreciated by man. All these at the expense of the gospel. Surely the solution is Love for Christ and praise from Christ. Amen

On John Piper's, a leading Calvinism, website it  says this, “God brings about all things in accordance with his will in other words, it isn’t just that God manages to turn the evil aspects of our world to good for those who love him, it is rather that He himself brings about these evil aspects for his glory. Whoa ... "satan, or, the son of man ...". <<< in that context: no fine-line, no mincing of words, ALL are condemned without the blood of Christ Jesus.

John Piper preaches a false gospel of working for salvation but none of the fools following him know any better because they don't realize Jesus IS salvation and therefore doing good works for Jesus is the same as doing works for salvation. They assume they have "faith alone for salvation" but continue to offer their own works to God After salvation---therefore continuing to work for salvation under the mirage they are of "faith alone".
