A group of college students venture into the Black Hills Forest in Maryland to uncover the mysteries surrounding the disappearance of James’ sister who many believe is connected to the legend of the Blair Witch. At first the group is hopeful, especially when a pair of locals offer to act as guides through the dark and winding woods, but as the endless night wears on, the group is visited by a menacing presence. Slowly, they begin to realize the legend is all too real and more sinister than they could have imagined.

What a brilliant trailer. I've been saying this for a while now, they need to fucking stop revealing the entire storyline of movies with 3-minute trailers. This trailer is keeping everything mysterious and not giving away any of the good scares. Kudos to them. I'll be looking forward to seeing it.

So I saw Lights Out Thursday night with a friend. The Woods trailer came on. I whispered to my friend "I bet this is some spiritual successor to Blair Witch or something."

Now with the name change to Blair Witch and everything today, holy shit they did a great job keeping it under wraps until a couple of months before release.

Now that we know this is actually Blair Witch, this trailer is even better than before. And it does a great job at hiding what it actually is, while still conveying its feel. It already looks like it has a crazy scary atmosphere without even having to lean on the Blair Witch name yet. Bravo to the person that cut this trailer.

Look. I'm pretty fucking excited for this because the dude who made The Guest and You're Next, made this one. The guy's name is Adam Wingard.. Before you judge the movie by the trailer, you should look at the directors resume. Trust me, you will have more positive results when going into films if you learn about directors and their work, instead of blindly scoping horror trailers on YouTube and giving your uneducated opinion on it. 🙃
