🌟 Welcome back to our spectacular channel! 🌟

In today's exciting tutorial, I'm going to guide you through the magical journey of unlocking the power of GPU in Local GPT. 🚀 Brace yourself as we navigate through potential hiccups and turn them into triumphs!

But hey, before we embark on this GPU adventure, make sure you caught the vibes from my last video on Local GPT. This tutorial is like the sequel to an epic saga where we conquered the installation of Miniconda, danced through Local GPT installations, mastered the art of running it, and explored the enchanting Local GPT web UI.

Now, let's dive into the action! 🎬 Behold our "pro" folder, guarding the entrance to our Local GPT realm.

Closing this chapter, we'll open the gates to our terminal. 🚪 First, step into the Conda wonderland (created in the past videos) with the magic words "conda activate." 🧙‍♂️ Then, take a stroll to our Local GPT folder with "CD" and clear the screen with the wizardry of "CLS."

If your system nods with a confident "True," great! If it shrugs with a humble "False," fear not. Cast away the old library with "pip uninstall."

Now, cast the spell "pip install torch" with an index URL (codes in the description). After the magic dust settles, run the spell again, and voila! A triumphant "True" awaits.

But hold on, we're only halfway through the magical potion! 🧙 The remaining 50% involves harmonizing our quantized LLM models with torch. Utter the spell "pip install Llama CPP" (version 0.2.23 or 0.1.83, as whispered by the ancient scrolls on our blog).

Be patient; magic takes time. Now, with the library enchanted successfully, we're ready to wield the GPU-powered wand of Local GPT.

Once the magical embedding is complete, run Local GPT again with "python Run Local GPT --device_type cuda." Any wizardry woes? Drop them in the cauldron of comments. The prompt area is your mystical portal for inputting queries related to your sacred document and receiving enchanted answers.

And there you have it! Our Local GPT series concludes with a sprinkle of magic. 🌈 I hope this mystical journey has added a touch of enchantment to your life. Stay tuned for more adventures in the wizarding world of tech! 🚀✨

Hello!, I have a query: How would you go about adding the name of the person who occupies the model?, I imagine creating a form that requires "Name", and that is saved in a variable, which is written inside a pdf, and then passed to the model to train that pdf. Is there any other way that is easier and/or faster?

PD: Nice video!

Hi, First of all, thank you for this series it has been very beneficial and helpful. I just set up the GPU support but still get BLAS 0 when running the python run_localGPT.py --device_type cuda command. I have dual RTX A2000 cards with 12GB. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the tutorials! They really helped me get an instance of LocalGPT set up. However, I have a strange issue where my GPU will be utilized when I run Ingest.py, but while I can see the GPU is active it will utilize the CPU when running queries. Is this normal behavior, or is there something wrong? I'm running a ThinkPad P53 laptop with an i7-9850H and an RTX 4000(basically a laptop 2070) with 8GB VRAM, so I figure it should have enough power.
