I've got a bouncy castle blower linked to my forced are forge and it works really nicely.

good to see your blower, system a bit big for my forge. I'm glad you showed the smaller one, that is what I need.

I use a small blower like the one you showed at the end. I use it on my coal forge with a dimmer switch for my speed control. Welding temps and above are easily reached.

Cool Roy I personally just use a leaf blower

I use a small shop vac with the hose mounted on the exhaust. This feeds into a tube with a PVC ball valve that I use to regulate airflow. Super Noisy though...Need a quiet option.

Thank you for the video. I don't know when you find the time to smith. Your content is interesting. I feel a bit of FOMO when I see you put up a new video.

I am working in a shack with a dirt floor and the wind blows through the walls. I hope to keep working deep into the winter, but I don't know. We have real winter in Atlantic Canada. I installed a wood stove, but am working on installing my forge inside. I have to figure out the range hood aspect of it. Thanks for the chat... Keep those videos coming.

May be wise to but a filter on the air intake. So you do not destroy it with trash and vegation.

Roy, I know you breathe alot of stuff when smithing but you have that machine right on poison ivy and if any of those leaves should get into your fire and you breathe it in you will irreparable damage your lungs!!
Why don't you take a little time to clear the area where you want your machine to live of any vegetation and make a pad of brick which will keep veg. from returning and raise the blowers off the ground so when it rains it won't be in mud.
Someone in the comments also suggested a filter for debris, which personally I would upgrade to a metal screen to keep out little critters who might nest in there while the blower is at rest and then may find themselves in the pit of hell in an instant! 😈😨
Just an aside but, I had some mice living in my leaf blower one winter and when spring came, those poor little buggers went from 0 to 120mph across my driveway in an instant! My 10 year old son saw it and said "They went plaid!" (a "Spaceballs" reference.) I laughed at what he said, but I still felt bad they all died in that way.
At any rate, good use of repurposing that blower and it's remote placement idea. Gives me a good idea for a down draft welding table! I may add a rheostat to control the draw so as not to suck away my shielding gas but just the smoke!
Peace of Christ to your household Roy!
