Ah memories, my mother had sung this to me when I was younger. She was a scout when she was young. A remarkable woman, I wish I could sing this back to her.

In my preschool, we used to have "goodbye parties" for kids who were being taken out of the program early before "graduation".

It would consist of the kid going away sitting at the front of the class with the teacher. We would sing the chorus of Woody Guthrie's "So Long It's Been Good To Know You" while changing the fourth line to "hope to see you again", and then transition to this exact song.

dude i was in girl scouts for 9 years and in the same small group, i never changed groups. and last year i was supposed to be a senior in girl scouts but i went out of the group. i miss it even tho i was never included in things, im very shy. but i still see them walkings around at school.
