Happily using an X-S20 here in South-India in very hot and humid weather. Several times it got splashed by water quite badly and rained on a bit but that has not caused any issues so far at least. The camera seems built to very good tolerances and to hold up well to surprisingly heavy duty use. I was at first going to bring my Sony A7rV but I am glad I have the X-S20.

Yesterday i went in to purchase my first proper camera - x-t30 ii, but i tried using the x-s20 while i was there, and just the in hand feel won me over. I shelled out almost twice the amount, but i did end up getting the x-s20 with the 16-50mm 2.8-4.8 LM WR, and im hoping to have some good time with it. Seeing your video makes me feel like i made the right choice 🎉

Camera should bring you joy! I like that.
The ergonomics, specially the grip. Not small, not that big. Can compete with high-end expensive cameras.

I absolutely love my XS20. It's my first camera, I got into photography and videography and obsessed me with lenses so now I own 5 6 lenses and I love them all and have to go with them whenever I travel. I just wished the autofocus was slightly more reliable and picked up the subjects that I wanted and hunted focus a bit less. That is my only wish. I brought my XS20 to Svalbard with me where there were snow, very rough weather with even non weathersealed lens and all have survived. I used the camera so much that I remember so many memories every time I look at it. I just love it

Sounds like a sincere vent :). One question, did you still use your x-pro 3 at all when you had the x-s20? I'm considering exchanging my x-t30 for an x-s20 (mostly for photo) as none of my lenses have OIS. Still, the x-t30 doesn't disappoint most of the time with a high shutter speed. Thanks!

"weather-sealing" is one of the biggest sham camera company comes out with for marketing purpose..before that term, every photographer can take pictures just fine no matter where they are despite the weather conditions...just dont get it soaked, u r fine

I have been thinking of getting this for quite sometime now but I only shoot stills with X-T100 which I have sold now and I havent done much videography. Would it be worth to get the X-S20? I was also scared to take the X-S20 to Asia, because of the overheating problem I heard. After 3 weeks now on Sri Lanka, I never had any Issues. Important to set temperature setting to high. But not having weather sealing bothers me sometimes.

Would you consider getting the new X-T50 that was just announced? Or is X-S20 better for vlogging? I had the X-S10 and loved it... but I left it back home. Now I'm thinking of buying a new camera and looking for a replacement while traveling. So looking for a smaller travel friendly camera for photo and video.

I didn’t find many videos talking about this camera and that makes me a bit scared, especially since I’ll be spending a large amount of money (at least for me) on a camera. I’m a beginner, and this will be my first Fujifilm camera. what I liked about the X-S20 is that it looks practical, the screen flips which is useful, the grip looks comfortable to hold, and the video specs seem really good. But I’m more interested in photography than video, but that doesn’t mean that i don’t love taking videos, so I’m a little worried about that part.

so what do you think, especially considering that I’m a beginner and don’t have much knowledge about cameras, especially Fujifilm? Also, I’m confused between the Fujifilm X-S20 and the Fujifilm X-T50. The X-T50 has higher resolution photo specs, but some photographers said that resolution isn’t everything. They think the X-S20 is better because of the bigger battery and the flip screen, which gives them more freedom when shooting. I’m really confused and don’t know which one to choose can you help me.

On size, if you delete the viewfinder and grip it's the same size as my X-E4, and as I had an aftermarket grip on the X-E4 anyway I've realised I can sell the X-E4!

I have an X-T3 and probably will for a while. When the X-S20 was announced I envisioned it as what I might get some day to replace the T3. Two things about it bother me though. First, the lack of WR. Secondly, the single card slot. Actually, the card slot issue is very small. But, since I take my camera hiking all the time, the lack of WR is a pretty big issue to me. But, the size of the body, the new battery and that grip really had me interested.

Thanks for the video! I've been heavily conflicted between the a6700, and the xs-20 for a first camera, but man the weather-sealing...I'll be going to japan in june 2025, peak rainy season. I'll miss the recipes 😔
