Trump is hoping most people will buy the “tariffs are a tax on the other country” BS, instead of realizing they will pass that cost on to the consumers here, products made here that include foreign components will also become more expensive, and other countries will retaliate with tariffs on US goods sold overseas costing jobs, tax dollars for farm bailouts like last time and a stock market downturn.
