Fan Friday Request:
"Hi!
I would like to see Nathan Lane’s final appearance on The Late Show, including the song with Marc Shaiman. I think that Nathan is incredibly underrated comedically and is one of the best guests that you can have on a talk show.
Thank you,
Parker

Martin Short and Nathan Lane both treated a Letterman appearance as a little performance: topical opening jokes, witty banter during the interview and as a treat a special song. Dave could take the night off when these two were on.

Brings the house down.

That guy's an entertainer from his socks to his toupee.

Wow! Nathan told Dave how everyone felt about his departure from late night TV.

Everytime I see these clips I have to check to see if the person is still alive

Late night now is so sad to watch you'll never see things like this anymore...

Letterman was one of the great last talk show hosts, when it was about great conversation and entertainment, not games and silly tricks. I haven't watched late night in forever.

I am dead inside, once again, this time knowing the Barbara Gaines Network (watch out Oprah) has cut their production by half. Not two episodes a day, ladies and gentlemen, just one. I knew it was too good to be true. Well, I will savour the one a day, then. Thank you, Dave and Barbara.

Hey Dave (and company)...
If you're taking fan requests, (and if memory serves me accurately)...

I'd love to see the infamous interview with (I believe it was) Natasha Kinski...
who had a weird twisty hairdo that you couldn't stop commenting on.

Nice delivery but Nathan Lane needed better writers.
