Trey Lance threw his first touchdown pass of the preseason & also ran for one, and Brandon Aubrey nailed a 66-yard(!) field goal. Bobby belt is contradicting himself. After the first game, he was able to make the assessment that Trey Lance wasn’t an NFL quarterback. Now, he saying he can’t make a determination after one game when Trey Lance actually showed some progress. People forget, there was a time when Dak and Romo were being criticized for being inaccurate

Bobby thinks Dak is a franchise QB enough said. Trey can run and has a good arm. There is accuracy problems but Dak had accuracy problems early in his career as well. Dak got better with his accuracy so can lance .

Skeptical NFL analysts will continuously judge Trey Lance because of us unlucky start as a 49er starting quarterback his second season. Trey only needs more time on the field and show them that he protects the football from being intercepted or fumbled away that most NFL quarterbacks and even college quarterbacks do. It's the reason he always seems to start out slow his first few possessions on the field. He is looking at the strengths and weaknesses of both the offense and defense before he finally goes on the attack with good throws and runs for first downs or even TD's.

So from now on, you skeptics watch how he controls the game in his first possessions by not throwing interceptions or fumbling the ball while it's in his hands. He's not just reading one receiver, he's reading the entire defense and offense until he knows what he can do to try win the game.

Of course Trey's throws are not always right on the money but I haven't known an NFL quarterback yet that throws perfectly every time and without being intercepted.

I’m sorry, the accuracy questions this week baffle me. Last week sure he was throwing them high about 40% of the time. This week he threw like 2 passes high. One was still in flournoys hands and should’ve been caught. Everything else was smooth and receivers didn’t have to make any gymnastic plays to catch anything lol

They put up Lance's first half stats and thought "man those are bad"... and in about 5 seconds I realized they were actually better than Daks first half against Green Bay.
