Natasha, thank you for this tutorial! I have been planning to craft an art journal for my three year old grand-daughter. This mini album with a few tweaks will work. I know that three is a bit young, but, my aim is to supply her with tools to learn and enjoy making marks on paper and beyond. Her folks have agreed to take photos of her making art, printing them out, helping her glue the art piece and photo to a page, and then do the journaling about the day and the project. Any other ideas and tips would be welcome! And, hey, if she doesn't like it, I will try again in a couple of years and hope for the best.

Or can cut 12 x 12 papers into quarters....to get 4 definitely matching pages, then another set etc, to create a collection of matching pages. They may not match each other in that sense, but you can add them 1, 2, 3, 4 and repeat throughout the book....one from each set (12 x 12)
I probably made that sound far more complicated than I mean! 🙄
Cute book and I love all the hidey holes! The more the merrier IMO! I love all the variations of pockets, flaps, flips etc. 😘😘😘

That endless hinging idea is brilliant! I have been thinking about turning my journals into a format, where each spread is made separately and attached to the previous one, so the journal gradually grows thicker and thicker. This hinging technique could work well for that purpose. As always, thank you for the inspiration! <3
