Time stops when Lemieux gets the puck. It’s as if everybody freezes. Mario is the best player that ever lived. Period.

Mario was a beast, a legend, , you'll never see a hockey player like him.

look at him, everything was so easy. the best, by far, in hockey history.

Mario often made good goalies look stupid. The way he moved was like an optical illusion because he could cover so much ground in a single stride.

It was such a shame that injuries so often prevented Mario and Wayne Gretzky from facing off against each other.

On the other hand, watching them play as teammates in the Canada Cup was nothing short of awesome.

Insane that he saved the Pens with his physical talent but also later as an owner.

Look at the all time scoring list. Look at the number of games Mario played vs the others on the list.

Mario without his back injury’s and cancer really would have been the true goat

Mario would have been the first 1000 goal scorer had he been healthy. He made a mockery of his opponents when he was in his prime.

Def the greatest talent that the league has ever seen. If Lemieux would of stayed healthy he def would be close if not ahead of Gretzky's records. Feel lucky to have been able to watch him his whole career

What an absolute legend. In terms of my all time favourites, it's always been Jagr and Lemiuex. It's a shame I don't like pens at all haha

Even as a Bruins fan I hoped he would score because I followed his career in juniors and just loved his play.

If he stayed healthy, he's the GOAT
