#2 OECD - PCCB Network Workshop Series - Climate services and data: a capacity development agenda

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and PCCB Network launched a workshop series on "Capacity Development for climate action and ambition" in 2022. These workshops are an opportunity to foster dialogue and the exchange of information, ideas, and experiences acquired in the design and execution of projects and programmes on climate-related capacity development across all regions.

A panel discussion explored current bottlenecks that partner countries experience in accessing finance. Following this, a number of concrete and practical solutions that have proved successful in supporting partner countries to access climate finance services and data were presented via lightning talk format with a chance for the audience to interact with each speaker following their presentation. Finally, the conclusions from these discussions were drawn in a short plenary discussion.

The lightning talks focused on:
1- Effective and innovative mechanisms to support partner countries access climate services;
2- Initiatives that are supporting the capacity of countries in climate data;
3- Initiatives focusing on the situation of SIDS.
