It is much more efficient to create all the masks for a person at the same time. They are still separate masks and you don't have to keep "creating mask" again and again.

Thanks for the useful tip re using the shift key and the brush to fill in between 2 points, I'm aware of it in PS and hadn't thought about trying it in ACR/ LR.

I love your teaching style Sir A.M. FYI at the beginning of the video when you used a mask to select the sky and it missed a bit at the bottom right. Those were actually coastal mountains and not the sky, just my 2 cents. Cheer's from Vancouver Canada !!

Is it effectively the same in Lightroom as Camera RAW?

I have enjoyed your videos for a very long time, Anthony. If this is an easy problem to solve, I would certainly appreciate your advice: The masking panel undocking works fine for me when in LRC or if I open a dng/psd/etc with PS directly and use the camera raw filter. The masking panel does not undock when handing the image to PS from LRC and using the Camera Raw filter.

The only thing I repeatedly miss with ACR's masking is a way to threat the edge - expand or subtract and soften to choice. It can to some degree be done with luminance range, but it would be nice with a general edge-tool working on all masks.

I'm finding using masks in Lightroom that if I add to a mask my adjustments then affect only the part I added. I'm doing something wrong but not sure what!!
