when you say perfectly flat what do you mean by that I was planning to mount it on a small robot will it lose its bearings over rough ground ? or while climbing a hill ?

do you have a sample arduino code? I think I can decode something from the library included, but I'd like to see how the pros do it.

I apologize for being know it all - but ACTUALLY - its precision is NOT 1deg. Its measurement RESOLUTION is 1 deg. Precision is completely a different thing. Also - I understand that it is a very short video - but maybe you should also point that they are pointing to the MAGNETIC north. Most of the people forget about a magnetic declination. Anyway, sweet video. You have my thumbs up.

Hello, can you post the code used in the HMC6352 sketch in the video? I'm trying to do the same thing with HMC5883L, but the servo doesn't respond very well

i'm trying to using HMC6352 to turn the body of robot 90 deg to left or to the right during navigate ...but i still can't get there...i need your help to show me how it done..

Would the magnetic field due to the motors on a robot cause the sensor to yield incorrect values for direction?

If I put the magnetometer close to an electric motor, is its accuracy going to be affected? I believe the motor will generate a magnetic field as well.
